The Oakland Raiders’ journey into irrelevance has been taken to another level ever since they scrounged up Jon Gruden from Monday Night Football. The team that was 12-4 two years ago is now 1-5, and only have that one win because of the refs screwing over the Browns for what seems like the 100th time this season.
In their latest game, a 27-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in London, defensive end Bruce Irvin gave a rather amusing postgame quote to the media. Irvin said that he wasn’t too concerned about the loss because, “I’ve got a beautiful wife I get to go home to, boy. I’m going to try and make some babies, man.”
A quote like that is not going to go overlooked by the SportsCenter duo of Kenny Mayne and John Anderson, who had a bit of fun on Sunday night’s broadcast.

The two played it straight, and it was pretty funny that they wondered if Adam Schefter would report about the impending birth of the Irvin’s baby next July.
What’s also laughable is Gruden’s tenure with the Raiders. He has done his best at getting rid of every Raiders player with even a hint of talent, but he isn’t done, offering up Amari Cooper and Karl Joseph for a trade, according to Jay Glazer. Maybe the Raiders are tanking and have a long-term plan, but the franchise hired any other coach and paid them a far lower salary than Gruden if that’s what they really wanted to do.
