While ESPN’s Jeff Passan frequently breaks baseball news, he reacted to baseball news broken by his son, Jack, on Tuesday.
As an incoming high school senior, Jack Passan is part of college baseball’s Class of 2026. On Sunday, Passan, an outfielder and pitcher, announced his commitment to Williams College in Williamstown, Mass.
“I’m thrilled to announce my commitment to the admissions process at Williams College,” Passan (Jack) wrote on X. “Thank you to my coaches and parents for their unwavering support and sacrifice, and to Coach Barrale for providing this opportunity. Excited for the next four in purple and gold. Go Ephs!”

Naturally, his father responded with excitement and pride.
“Could not be more proud,” the elder Passan said. “Hard work and dedication led him to his dream school. I’m lucky to be father to such a wonderful son. And also the new biggest fan of Williams baseball.”
