Amid all the heartbreak and destruction from the Los Angeles fires in recent days there have been many acts of bravery and kindness on display.

Holly Rowe offered a glimpse into that side of the disaster Saturday. The ESPN reporter and play-by-play announcer posted a message on X offering fire victims a place to stay.

“If you are displaced due to LA fires, we all want to help. I have room for 8 people in Salt Lake City,” Rowe wrote. “It’s a 9 hour drive. I can pay for gas or flights. We all feel helpless and want to do something. Please reach out. Will help if I can.”

Fires in the Los Angeles area continued to burn Saturday, with more than 37,000 acres destroyed so far. There have been 11 deaths reported, with thousands of structures burned and tens of thousands of residents forced to evacuate.

Some sports media pros have experienced the loss of their home, or been forced to evacuate. Rowe’s generous offer amid all the tragedy was a welcome sign, and many noticed her kind gesture.
