Fresh off an upset win over the LSU Tigers last week, the Florida Gators had a repeat on their mind in their Week 13 matchup against the Ole Miss Rebels. And despite being doubted by the College GameDay cast, they did just that in a shocking win that will likely have significant implications to the College Football Playoff.
Coming in as 13-point favorites, Ole Miss was expected by the vast majority of media pundits to cruise against a Florida team that has largely been average for much of the season. This includes the entire College GameDay cast, who all picked Ole Miss to come away with the win.
However, Florida had different plans, coming away with a 24-17 victory thanks to the Gator defense forcing Rebels’ quarterback Jaxson Dart into two interceptions on their final two possessions of the game.

Coming off of a bye, Ole Miss decisively beat Georgia in its previous game. The loss to Florida stalled that momentum and potentially put the Rebels on the outside looking in on the CFP conversation.
Meanwhile, Florida was focused on talking a little trash to their doubters after the big win, trolling the College GameDay cast by referencing the “Old Takes Exposed” page in a post on X.

Unfortunately for the College GameDay cast, this is far from the first time this season that the entire cast has been proven wrong, getting trolled by numerous teams who have pulled off upsets this season.
