On the Week 7 edition of the ManningCast alternate cast of Monday Night Football, Eli Manning tried his best to mimic the footwork of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield for viewers at home. But his golden retriever, Hank, did an even better job of mimicking a star pass rusher to ruin his owner’s demonstration.
Peyton Manning kicked off the segment by highlighting Mayfield’s ability to navigate the pocket.
“When you watch film of Baker Mayfield, he is so impressive in the pocket. The way he moves in the pocket. He does drills to work on his pocket movement. I’m gonna show you a couple of those drills.”
Eli then served as the instructor of a pocked agility drill for viewers at home, using agility bags to show off his footwork. But right away, it was clear that the two-time Super Bowl champion wasn’t quite as sharp as he once was with his footwork, knocking into one of the bags, which Peyton got a good laugh out of.
“Shuffle, shuffle, shuffle. Back, back, back. Don’t hit the bag! Don’t look down! Back, back, back. Do not look down!”
Peyton finally instructed Eli to throw the ball, only for numerous bags to be thrown at Eli, followed by his dog Hank coming in and going for his feet.
“Ball! Ball! Ball! Throw it! Throw it! Throw it! You see, now you have defensive linemen coming for your feet. Okay, I don’t know if there will be a dog on the field tonight. The point is, you can simulate these drills.”

Eli Manning has played against some great pass rushers in his career. But perhaps none with more agility than Hank, which clearly gave him some issues during this drill instruction.
