Dan Orlovsky lives a straightforward life.

He likes his food simple and consistent. For the most part, he tries to live frugally. He’s a family man. He likes his quarterbacks to be a certain way.

And while he’s been known to appreciate certain kinds of footwear, it wasn’t all that surprising when he admitted a few weeks back that he didn’t believe “dudes” should get pedicures.

After the wife of Florida Gators head football coach Jon Sumrall revealed that her husband loves pedicures, it sparked a segment on ESPN’s Get Up about feet. And while everyone else seemed to be in support of taking care of their feet with pedicures, Orlovsky insisted it was out of the question for dudes like him.

“I have never gotten a pedicure. I never will,” Orlovsky ranted. “I am completely against pedicures for dudes. You’re a dude, you’re not supposed to get pedicures. Nah, man. No, no, no. I am so against this; this is a thing for me. Dudes should not be getting pedicures!”

“My feet are awful, I totally agree,” he added. “But I’d rather have awful feet than get pedicures. I’ve got my friends taking their teenage son to get them!”

If you’ve ever seen the infamous photo of Orlovsky’s toes that he shared on social media in 2021, you’d know that it wouldn’t hurt for him to get over whatever hang-up he’s got about it and get those nails worked on.

And it turns out, he did.

“Alright, pedicure is done,” said Orlovsky in a video posted to X on Wednesday. “It was fine. I totally understand how they’re enjoyable. In times, they’re needed.

“I don’t see me going back a ton. We’ll see if I ever go back again. I’m probably still a hard-headed, stubborn person who craves pain over comfort, weirdly. I can’t explain it. It’s just who I am. But I totally understand the concept and the enjoyment behind him, so my apologies to Coach Sumrall and all the pedicure people.”

Orlovsky then shared a picture of himself “enjoying” the pedicure.

Credit due to the ESPN NFL analyst for at least giving it a shot. Now if we can just get him to eat some good pizza, we’ll be getting somewhere.
