Chris “Mad Dog” Russo’s persistence paid off for him in a big way Tuesday.
The First Take and WFAN star attended the European premiere of A Complete Unknown, the Bob Dylan biopic starring Timothée Chalamet. He made the guest list at the invitation of Chalamet, after trying repeatedly to get him on his show to talk about Dylan and his music (Russo even reached out to the actor’s father trying to get Chalamet to make an appearance).
Chalamet never appeared on Mad Dog’s show, but did him one better. He went and met Russo after the premiere.
Maybe the strangest duo you’ll ever see …

Russo got two tickets to the premiere, and took his daughter, whose birthday is Jan. 15. His son, Colin, a radio host for ESPN West Palm, complained on his show last week, “I would’ve traveled hell or high water, anywhere in the world to go to that premiere.”
As for Chalamet, he recently told SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up that he would like to do a biopic on Inside the NBA host Ernie Johnson.
