ESPN Radio’s Chris Carlin said he doesn’t trust many people in his life, but those issues don’t seem to apply when it comes to Chick-fil-A employees.

On Monday’s Carlin vs. Joe show, Carlin somehow managed to turn a recent experience at the fast food restauant into an hilarious segment with co-host Joe Fortenbaugh.

“The amount of people that I trust in my life, at a high level, I could probably count on one hand,” Carlin said. “And it just so happens that a group of people that I trust … is the people who run the drive-thru at Chick-fil-A.”

Fortenbaugh laughed hysterically. “Did you have Chick-fil-A yesterday?”

Carlin said he visited one a couple of nights ago. “The amount of trust that I have, I don’t even have to look in the bag to know that they got the order right,” he said.

“Oh yeah,” Fortenbaugh said, nodding. “Yeah.”

“And I cannot say that about most places,” Carlin continued. “Honestly, I don’t have kids, but if I did, pretty sure I would trust the Chick-fil-A drive-thru folks to take care of them for a few hours.

“I have family members that I would trust to get something done less than I would a Chick-fil-A person.”

Then, Carlin said some things that might get him in trouble at Thanksgiving.

“How many siblings do you have?” Fortenbaugh asked.

“I have five,” Carlin said.

“How many do you trust more than the kids at Chick-fil-A?” Fortenbaugh asked.

“Two. Maybe three,” Carlin said.

“So Chick-fil-A’s on the (Mount) Rushmore, some of the siblings not?” Fortenbaugh said.

“Some of the siblings listen, so we’re not going to go through and detail who those are,” Carlin said.

“We’re going to let them all decide for themselves. That’s a great Thanksgiving conversation right around the corner,” Fortenbaugh said.

The Quick-Service Restaurant Drive-Thru study has rated Chick-fil-A as having the best drive-thru customer service in America for 10 straight years. One wonders, though, how many people answering that survey would trust CFA with their kids.
