She has apparently survived the recent round of layoffs. ESPN has announced that NBA sideline reporter and college football host Cassidy Hubbarth has signed a new multi-year deal that keeps her with the Worldwide Leader for the foreseeable future.

In addition to her current roles, she’ll continue to be a part of ESPN’s coverage of the annual NBA Celebrity All-Star Game. ESPN originally hired Hubbarth in 2010 to be a digital contributor, but she’s expanded her role to include appearances on Mike & Mike, Baseball Tonight and NBA Countdown.

Tim Corrigan, senior coordinating producer of the NBA for ESPN notes that Hubbarth has  become a integral part of the network’s coverage of the Association:

“Cassidy is interested, knowledgeable and inquisitive about the NBA. Her passion and commitment to our coverage is obvious and it has created many opportunities for her. It’s been fun to see Cassidy’s natural progression over the years.”

And Hubbarth says she’s pleased to remain with ESPN:

I’ve been lucky to have worked on a number of shows at ESPN, but specifically, these last four years where I have found a home with the NBA and college football, I also feel like I have found my voice. To be a part of our coverage of two of the biggest and most exciting leagues in sports, is certainly not lost on me. And our coverage specifically, on both the NBA and college football is the best. So my interest to cover my two favorite sports, with the company who does it the best, is pretty self-explanatory.

So Hubbarth gets to stay and continues to have high-profile roles with ESPN.
