The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz co-host Jon “Stugotz” Weiner has received plenty of attention for everything from half-serious Eli Manning takes amplified across ESPN platforms to his time playing lacrosse against Method Man to his involvement in a crossover “feud” with Dan Patrick. But the latest discussion around Stugotz (who, along with Le Batard, signed an ESPN extension in the summer of 2018) has been about his amazingly-terrible record so far on against-the-spread bowl picks, which dropped to 0-14 after the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (which he picked at +3.5) lost 27-21 to the Michigan State Spartans in the Pinstripe Bowl Friday:
Sparty on! @Stugotz790 keeps perfection alive at 0-14 this bowl season! Wake Forest +3.5 is another giant loser.

That really is a remarkably bad run of picks. And it makes one think of the Hearts concept of “shooting the moon,” or trying to lose every single time. Maybe Stugotz didn’t intend for that, but if he’s able to keep this up, that may be more notable than anything accomplished by a lot of prognosticators with better records.
(Update: Stugotz did not keep the losing streak up. Following LSU’s 63-28 win over Oklahoma Saturday, he improved his record to 4-16.
