It’s been another busy week in sports media. We’re here to recap the biggest news and events that took place and share some of our best work from the week that was. Without further adieu:
Golic & Wingo will debut November 27, 10 days after Mike & Mike ends its 18-year run. The show will air from 6-10 a.m. every weekday.
In NFL commercial news, the 2017 season will feature fewer ad breaks (cut to four per quarter from five) and split screen advertisements.
Stephen Gilmore correctly stated he’ll be appearing in more nationally televised games this season with the Patriots opposed to when he was with the Bills. For some reason, a local Buffalo anchor decided that warranted a lowlight reel.
Some random dude is spending his time writing and mailing letters to ESPN anchors, critiquing them on their etiquette and how they dress.
Sad news as Vice Sports has become the latest outlet to pivot to video. Vice has laid off 2% of their employees, eliminating the Vice Sports brand in the process.
