Fans of the popular Welcome to Wrexham series will be delighted to know that FX has renewed the series for its upcoming fourth season.
The popular television docuseries follows actors Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds and their soccer club Wrexham A.F.C. as they continue to rise in the ranks of the English football league system.
The decision to renew the series for its fourth season was announced at Disney’s Upfronts by McElhenney and Reynolds themselves.
According to Deadline, the fourth season will follow the soccer club as they enter League One following successive years of promotions. League One is the third tier of the English soccer league system. The only levels above League One are the English Football League Championship and the Premier League.

This news follows the decision to renew the series back in November for Season 3. The show’s booming popularity in America, coupled with the club’s ascent up the rankings, has led to great results for Reynolds and McElhenney’s docuseries. They’ve seen their club’s matches air on ESPN networks, and the popular Men in Blazers podcast decided to dive into the Wrexham club as well.
As Wrexham‘s success continues, you might wonder what could happen if the club reaches even further heights. It sure would make for good television.
