Even in the midst of a dominant quarterfinal performance, Ohio State can’t avoid the stink of losing its fourth-straight rivalry game to Michigan earlier this season.
After opening up a stunning 34-0 lead over Oregon in the first half, Wednesday’s Rose Bowl was all but over by the time the two teams headed to their locker rooms at halftime. A last-second first half touchdown by Oregon set the scoreline at 34-8 at the break, but even cutting the lead to a mere 26 points had some in the media suggesting the Ducks needed a miracle.
Perhaps then, a cheeky uniform swap might be in order to get Oregon back on track. Action Network’s Brett McMurphy took to social media to suggest that maybe Oregon would be better off if they switched into Michigan uniforms at halftime.

“Sources: Oregon will change into Michigan uniforms at halftime, hoping that might work vs. Buckeyes,” McMurphy’s post read.
Even during a completely dominant performance against the No. 1 overall seed and undefeated Oregon Ducks, Ohio State couldn’t escape losing to its arch rival earlier this year.
Unfortunately for the Ducks, they remained in their chrome helmets and green jerseys for the second half en route to a 41-21 defeat. Maybe Texas will take notes and wear the maize and blue for its semifinal game against the Buckeyes next week.
