Fox Nation is making one of its first forays into sports content with a new docuseries.
Fox News, which owns and operates the Fox Nation streaming service, issued a press release on Thursday announcing a new multi-part docuseries titled The Tides That Bind: Inside Alabama Football.
Per the release, “The series will spotlight the accounts of the players, coaches, and staff of the Alabama Crimson Tide for their first season following the retirement of legendary coach Nick Saban with unrestricted access to the most storied team in the history of college football for the first time ever.”
The docuseries will be six episodes in length, and will release one episode each week beginning on February 19. Malachi Moore, Jalen Milroe, Ryan Williams, and head coach Kalen DeBoer will feature prominently in the series.
“We are thrilled to bring our viewers this intimate behind the scenes look at the historic Roll Tide football team as they navigate the trials and tribulations of a year in transition,” Fox Nation president Lauren Petterson said in the release.
The docuseries signifies an interesting move for Fox Nation, who’s programming primarily aims to superserve Fox News viewers with content centered around right-wing commentary and faith. The Tides That Bind will seemingly hit on some of those notes, with its first episode titledĀ Faith focusing on “the unifying force binding fans and players in pursuit of the shared goals of the Crimson Tide football team.”
Unfortunately for Fox Nation, the 2024 season likely isn’t one that Alabama fans want to relive.
