Taylor Swift has tens of millions of fans all over the world. But who would have thought ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum would be one of them?
The legendary author, radio host, and television personality is the voice of SEC football. He has been a fixture on the college football landscape for decades and has become a national figure thanks to ESPN’s relationship with the SEC and his prominent placement on the network’s football coverage.
Everyone has been talking about Taylor Swift this week after her appearance on New Heights with Travis Kelce and his brother Jason instantly became one of the most talked about podcasts of all time.
Finebaum joined SportsCenter on Friday with college football reporter Molly McGrath in the studio as an anchor. And during one of the commercial breaks, the two shared an incredible bonding moment over their mutual appreciation of the world’s biggest pop star.

“Paul, can I interest you in becoming a Swiftie,” McGrath asked.
“I have been in for a while, so don’t laugh at me,” Finebaum replied.
Finebaum told McGrath that his favorite Taylor Swift song is “All Too Well,” which was also her favorite. And he even shouted out the extended ten minute version as his favorite. That’s how you know that he’s the real thing. If Finebaum shows up with friendship bracelets on College GameDay this season then we will know we have entered a whole new paradigm.
This is the first time we can find any mention of Paul Finebaum confirming that he is a Taylor Swift fan. Good for him for doing so and living in the moment. The admission also immediately removes him from the top of the list of “ESPN personalities least likely to be fans of Taylor Swift.” He’s now been replaced at the top of those rankings by Chris “Mad Dog” Russo.
