ESPN’s College GameDay is headed to Berkeley for the first time in the show’s history, and there was really only one choice for who would serve as guest picker.
Cal Golden Bears legend Marshawn Lynch will do the honors on GameDay this Saturday as his alma mater takes on the undefeated Miami Hurricanes in a new-age ACC (All Coastal Conference?) battle.
There is only one man for the job …

ESPN’s college football road show has gotten creative with its locations in recent years, spreading the love to fan bases that haven’t normally enjoyed the privilege of waking up at an unholy hour on Saturday morning to hold giant signs behind Kirk Herbstreit’s head. Cal football fans have certainly shown some creative inclinations so far this season, which should bode well for those watching for the show’s meme potential.
Beast Mode is no stranger to the limelight in his post-playing career, having carved out a role in Amazon’s Thursday Night Football promotional campaigns, and even playing a high school teacher in the 2023 film Bottoms.
The only question now is whether his GameDay selections will beat Miss Terry’s spectacular performance last week.
