Lane Kiffin loves the transfer portal almost as much as he loves trolling. Almost.

The Ole Miss head coach is the most terminally online coach in all of college football, perhaps all of sports. More recently, that terminal onlineness manifested in Kiffin lobbying for his Rebels to be included in the College Football Playoff despite losing to a 4-8 Kentucky team at home.

But if there’s one thing Kiffin does better than navigating the portal, it’s shitposting.

Over the past couple of months, he’s been on a heater.

Case in point: Kiffin couldn’t help but poke fun at former South Carolina wide receiver Juice Wells for trolling his old coach, Shane Beamer. After Wells publicly clowned Beamer — who had taken a thinly veiled swipe at his former player for privately questioning South Carolina’s talent and quarterback situation — Kiffin couldn’t resist piling on.

Kiffin’s response? A gleeful emoji-laden tweet dripping with mockery.

But this is Lane Kiffin we’re talking about — he didn’t stop there.

The Rebels secured a commitment from Penn State wide receiver Harrison Wallace III, beating out South Carolina in the process. And the timing couldn’t have been more perfect — or more petty. Wallace pledged to Ole Miss before he even set foot in Columbia for a scheduled visit with the Gamecocks.

What took it from standard run-of-the-mill recruiting news to peak Kiffin pettiness was his social media activity. An hour before Wallace publicly announced his commitment to Ole Miss, Kiffin tweeted an article from South Carolina outlet Garnet & Cocky, reporting that Wallace was planning to pay the Gamecocks a visit.

An hour later, Wallace was a Rebel.

For Kiffin, he didn’t just win the recruiting battle — he trolled the Gamecocks and took a sly swipe at South Carolina’s media in the process.
