TCU’s football games will have a new radio analyst for the 2025 season in Justin Fuente.
Fuente, who was an assistant at TCU from 2007-2011 before serving as head coach at Memphis and Virginia Tech, will call games on the Horned Frog Sports Network alongside play-by-play voice Brian Estridge and sideline analyst Elvis Gallegos.
“TCU has always been a special place for me and my family,” Fuente said in a release on TCU’s athletics website. “I am excited to have the opportunity to be a part of the game that I love while partnering with this outstanding broadcast family.”
Estridge was also upbeat about Fuente joining the broadcasts.
“Justin Fuente is going to be a great addition to our broadcast team,” he said in the statement. “I am excited about the perspective and insight that he will bring every week. He has an innate ability to teach and explain while still giving you that ‘inside the huddle’ feel. Coach Dykes and his team are going to be fun to watch on the field, now it’s our job to bring that same energy on the radio. I can’t wait for Sept 1!”
Fuente was TCU’s running backs coach for the 2007 and 2008 seasons. From 2009-2011, he served as both the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. He became Memphis’ head coach in 2012 and served in that role for four seasons, going 26-23 overall and 17-15 in conference play. After going 19-6 (12-4 in conference) over the 2014 and 2015 seasons, Fuente became Virginia Tech’s head coach. In six seasons with the Hokies, Fuente posted a 43-31 overall record and a 28-20 mark in conference play.
