Both ESPN’s College GameDay and Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff will be in Columbus ahead of the highly anticipated Week 1 matchup between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Texas Longhorns. But it turns out, Fox college football game analyst Joel Klatt will also be pulling out all the stops in the days leading up to one of the biggest games of the season.

Klatt, who will presumably be on the call of the Fox broadcast on August 30 alongside Gus Johnson, will also be hosting his podcast, The Joel Klatt Show, in Columbus on August 28. And a portion of his show will seemingly be dedicated to an Ohio State fan getting tattooed.

In a post on X on Monday, Klatt called upon Ohio State fans interested in being tattooed on stage during the live show to send a direct message to his show’s social media account.

“Looking for a super fan who is willing to get an Ohio State tattoo LIVE on stage during our live show on August 28th. DM the @JoelKlattShow telling us why you’re interested!” wrote Klatt.

It’s unclear what exactly the tattoo would ultimately be. But considering the fact that Klatt’s post about the live tattoo has received over 300,000 views on X, it sure seems like there are plenty of Buckeyes fans willing to take the risk of getting tattooed.

Interestingly, this is something that has been done before on College GameDay. In 2023, Lee Corso famously signed his name on the leg of a James Madison football fan, which he have tattooed permanently as the broadcast went on.

Corso is one of the true legends of college football. So chances are, there is little regret from the fan who decided to have that signature tattooed as long as they love the sport.

Any diehard Ohio State football fan likely won’t regret getting something simple like a Buckeyes logo tattooed to a national audience. But let’s just hope there aren’t any kind of championship prediction stipulations involved in the deal to get the tattoo, as we have seen countless tattoos predicting championships end up going horribly wrong over the years.
