During the 2025 season, the University of Hawai’i football team’s games will be more accessible to people across the state than ever before.
Hawai’i athletic director Matt Elliott discussed the change in a video shared by the football team on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday. Elliott stated for the first time, Rainbow Warriors’ home games will all be available to watch live on regular television.
“For decades, UH football home games that weren’t nationally televised, could only be seen on a pay-per-view basis or delayed basis,” he said. “But not this season. I’m proud to announce, for the first time ever, all of our home football games this season will be televised live. So maybe take that pay-per-view money and buy tickets to one or more of our games this season. Let’s fill the Ching. Bring the energy and make so much noise that they hear UH games all the way on Maui.”
This year, we’re bringing Hawai‘i’s Team to our fans live on statewide TV.

Elliott concluded the video by offering a mahalo to the school’s fans, university president Wendy Hensel and Spectrum Sports. He also noted that things could look different next year, as negotiations are ongoing.
“I can’t promise what next season will bring as we negotiate new TV contracts, with most of our other teams joining our football team in the Mountain West. But for this season, UH football is yours for free. Because the Rainbow Warriors are our team, Hawai’i’s team. Maholo and let’s go, Bows.”
