Much like Mike Greenberg and his love for the New York Jets, ESPN personality Elle Duncan isn’t shy about her Georgia Bulldogs fandom.
Duncan also isn’t shy about speaking her mind – see her comments on Daniel Jones that spawned a controversy after his release to the Giants.
Combine those two elements and you’re bound to get some fireworks. And that’s what happened on Friday’s edition of First Take when Duncan went to the whiteboard to deliver a pep talk to Georgia ahead of the SEC Championship Game against the Texas Longhorns.
In the newly expanded College Football Playoff era, the conference championship games don’t mean quite what they used to, but Duncan tried to deliver a message to Georgia about defending their SEC turf against the newcomers from the Big 12.
Oh, and we also got to see Cam Newton barking to cheer her on.

“You need to Deebo Bevo,” Duncan said in honor of Tommy “Tiny” Lister aka Deebo aka The Human Wrecking Machine Zeus.
“Some of you guys are really young and you don’t know the movie Friday, but to Deebo someone means to bully them. To take their chain. To be so intimidating grown men run when they see you coming. This team doesn’t just get to come into the SEC and win it all in its first year. That’s our bike, punk!”
“They just don’t get to come to Atlanta and immediately have more success at the Benzo than the Falcons, sorry for that stray. I don’t care about the postseason. Right now I care about that you Georgia remind all these Longhorn fans that while everything may be bigger in Texas, everybody looks small when they get knocked the – out. Deebo Bevo. Go Dawgs!” Duncan exclaimed as she walked it off.
Maybe if Georgia does beat Texas on Saturday, she can get Nick Saban to say “Go Dawgs” on behalf of all the SEC originals.
