One of the most remarkable buzzer-beating shots in a while came from the Seton Hall Pirates’ Faith Masonius Wednesday night. In the final seconds of their Big East game against the Villanova Wildcats, Masonius hit a two-handed, back-to-the-basket buzzer-beater, and drew quite the call from John Fanta and Ashley Battle on FS1:

As the later, alternate-angle replay showed, this was indeed an incredible shot, with Masonius surrounded by defenders as she got it off:

Masonius is a senior forward for the Pirates, and she’s averaged 17.4 points and 4.5 rebounds in 31.5 minutes per game (all career-highs) in 13 games so far this season. She had 17 points, five rebounds, two steals, and an assist in this one.
But Masonius really came through in an incredible way for the Pirates in the final seconds of this game. And, thanks to this clash being broadcast on FS1, she got the opportunity to do so for a national audience, and she got a notable call from Fanta and Battle in the process.
