Jack Doyle scored his first touchdown of the season on Sunday, and it was an important one for the Colts in their 42-28 win over the Raiders. Andrew Luck hit Doyle in the flat at the 10-yard line, and the tight end was able to break tackles to get into the end zone to give Indianapolis a 35-28 lead (after the extra point) with 5:28 remaining.
But the call of the touchdown from CBS play-by-play man Andrew Catalon was the best part of the play, at least if you’re a fan of the 1995 film Billy Madison.
After Doyle reached the end zone, Catalon yelled, “Doyle rules!”
That’s Catalon making a reference to the awful, bullying O’Doyle family in Billy Madison; they yell “O’Doyle rules!” immediately after doing terrible things throughout the movie.
Now, don’t expect Catalon to drop any references about Adam Sandler’s recent films.
