Today was a good day for Ice Cube. The rapper and founder of the BIG3 basketball league, which will feature everyone from Allen Iverson to Chauncey Billups to Mike Bibby in 3-on-3 basketball that will air on FS1 this summer (and be one of their programming highlights), announced Tuesday that he made a very impressive hire as league CEO, former Oakland Raiders’ CEO and current CBS Sports Network analyst Amy Trask:

The latest
I am thrilled to work with Ice Cube, Jeff (Kwatinetz) and Roger (Mason Jr.) on this exciting new adventure and I am thrilled to continue television work as well – both Big3 and CBS Sports Network are sensational and it is my privilege and pleasure to be associated with both of these tremendous organizations,” Trask told Sportsnaut on Tuesday.
We’ll see how this works out, but it certainly seems like a smart move on the league’s part. And if Trask can juggle this with her TV work, so much the better.
