The game peaked with more than 11 million viewers during Indiana's late comeback, which could bode well for Game 2.

But American viewership doesn't tell the whole story...
According to ESPN, it was the most-watched MLB game of 2025 across all platforms.
An average of 6.63 million viewers tuned into the Warriors' Game 7 win over the Rockets.
Just two NBA preseason games have topped one million viewers for ESPN since 2010.

The 2025 NFL Draft's second day was also a ratings blockbuster.

A Nielsen report found Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander consumers are 33% more likely than the general public to subscribe to sports-specific streaming services.
Thanks to the College Football Playoff and 4 Nations Face-Off, ESPN is off to a hot start in the ratings in 2025.
