More details are coming out about Barstool Sports’ impending partnership with Fox Sports.

On Wednesday, news initially broke via Ryan Glasspiegel of Front Office Sports that Barstool and Fox were nearing a partnership that would see FS1 license Barstool content for its daily programming lineup and make Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy a key part of Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff college football pregame show. Now, it seems like the relationship may be even more expansive.

According to a report by Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, Barstool is expected to produce its own on-site pregame show that will air before Big Noon Kickoff during select weeks of the season.

It’s unclear based on Marchand’s reporting whether this will be a show produced exclusively for Barstool channels, just happening at the Big Noon Kickoff site, or if this is a show that would air on Fox ahead of Big Noon Kickoff, similar to the network’s Sunday programming lineup that sees Fox NFL Kickoff air in the hour before its Fox NFL Sunday pregame show.

If it’s the latter, Fox may be able to offer Big Noon Kickoff a better lead-in than it did previously. The show’s main competition, ESPN’s College GameDay, begins its shows at 9 a.m. ET while Big Noon Kickoff doesn’t start until 10 a.m. ET most weeks. Putting college football programming in that hour might attract some of that early ESPN audience, and also give Big Noon Kickoff a stronger starting point.

Even if this is simply a show being produced exclusively for Barstool-run platforms, its presence on-location at Big Noon Kickoff should generate a bit more exposure for the show.
