Since coming over from CBS Sports in 2018, Dane Brugler has been a staple of all things NFL Draft-related for The Athletic. And on Wednesday, it was reported by Ryan Glasspiegel of The New York Post that Brugler, a senior NFL Draft analyst at the company, will be staying there for the foreseeable future. Brugler later confirmed that himself.
Brugler has largely become the figurehead of NFL Draft analysis for The Athletic since joining the company. He’s perhaps most known for his annual NFL Draft Guide, which he has fittingly nicknamed “The Beast.” That massive guide includes his rankings for each position and a detailed list of strengths and weaknesses for the majority of prospects.
When it comes to pure analysis and talent evaluation, Brugler has proven to be one of the best in the business. And it seems like The Athletic is more than happy to keep him around.
On Wednesday, Glasspiegel reported that Brugler has agreed to a deal that will keep him at The Athletic in the summer of 2028.

In light of this news, many of Brugler’s peers who work in the NFL Draft community took to social media to congratulate him.
