  • The premiere week for FS1’s new morning progrsm “First Things First” with hosts Cris Carter and Nick Wright averaged 41,000 viewers from Sep. 5-8. FS1 had averaged 26,000 viewers on weekday early mornings (Monday thru Friday 6:30-9:30 a.m.) with repeat programming from Aug. 7-Sep. 1.

One year ago on FS1 for Sep. 6-9, 2016 for the 6:30-9:30 a.m. period which featured various re-airings that included the 2016 NHRA U.S. Nationals, two World Cup soccer qualifier matches, a UFC: CM Punk special and an episode of the now-defunct “Garbage Time with Katie Nolan,” the network averaged 30,000 viewers.

The Nielsen sample size for FS1’s early morning viewership may be too small for any definitive measurement (also known as, barely “scratch” level), but more notable for the network was its premier studio program “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed” which reached a 9-week high (in part due to the presence of “First Things First”) with an average of 152,000 viewers for Sep. 5-8.
