  • The super regional games of the 2017 NCAA Div. I Women’s Softball Tournamemt on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU from May 25-28 — 26 games, in all and led by Oregon/Kentucky on ESPN on May 27 (805,000 viewers) — averaged 458,000 viewers, up 24 percent from the year-ago weekend (21-game average from May 26-29, 2016: 368,000 viewers).

  • College baseball on ESPN2 on May 28: versus comparable year-ago games (from May 29, 2016), the ACC championship of Florida State/North Carolina (154,000 viewers) was down 4 percent from last year’s rain-delayed telecast on ESPN2 (Clemson/Florida State 161,000 on ESPN2; 72,000 watched the full game on ESPNU later in the day); the SEC championship of LSU/Arkansas (436,000 viewers) was up a whopping 69 percent (Florida/Texas A&M 258,000).

  • The 2017 NCAA Div. I Men’s Lacrosse tournament semifinal doubleheader of Towson/Ohio State followed by Denver/Maryland on ESPN2 May 27 averaged 260,000 viewers, up 26 percent from the year-ago semifinal doubleheader on ESPN2 (North Carolina/Loyola and Baylor/Maryland May 28, 2016: 206,000 viewers).

  • The 2017 NCAA Div. I Women’s Lacrosse national championship of Boston College/Maryland on ESPNU May 28 drew 85,000 viewers, matching the audience of last year’s game (North Carolina/Maryland on ESPNU May 29, 2016: 85,000 viewers).
