  • The week’s top MLB Network telecast for May 1-7 was the New York Yankees’ dramatic 3-2 win over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field in the afternoon of Fri. May 5 (355,000 viewers, 74,000 adults 18-49) represented a 16 percent viewer increase (but a 26 percent decrease among adults 18-49) from the year-ago Friday afternoon game (Nationals-Cubs on May 6, 2016: 306,000 viewers, 100,000 adults 18-49). The game was blacked out on MLB Network in New York and Chicago. Runner-up for the week was the Tue. May 2 prime time showcase of Baltimore-Boston or Toronto-N.Y. Yankees (296,000 viewers), up 24 percent from the year-ago Tuesday night window (Cubs-Pirates or Rangers-Blue Jays on May 3, 2016: 239,000 viewers).

  • NBA-TV’s live post-game coverage after each 2017 NBA Playoff game from May 1-7 — led by the post-game of Golden State-Utah Game 3 on May 6 (178,000 viewers) — averaged 53,000 viewers, up 2 percent from the year-ago week (52,000 viewers for May 2-8, 2016).

  • Golf Channel’s tournaments coverage from May 4-7:

    • PGA Tour: Wells Fargo Championship (May 4-7 afternoons; Golf Channel only): 415,000 viewers (-17 percent from May 5-8, 2016: 501,000 viewers)
    • European Tour: GolfSixes (May 6-7 mornings): 101,000 viewers
