Until the lovable meme of Tim Kurkjian laughing hysterically at Scott Van Pelt’s Baltimore accent became a thing… I never really thought of Baltimore as a city with that strong of an accent?
Boston? Of course. New York? Fuggedaboutit. Chicago, New Orleans, Wisconsin, Texas, the deep south… these are places I think of when I think of strong accents. But Baltimore?
Apparently so, at least to Mr. Kurkjian. Let’s all enjoy another round of Kurkjian busting up on ESPN over SVP’s pronunciation of vowel sounds.
