There’s a broadcasting shakeup over at WWE, and it will see Jerry Lawler no longer commentating on matches. Following Tuesday’s WWE Draft, the company announced it will be changing up its broadcast teams, and as part of that, Lawler is moving aside. WWE then later sent out an update that Lawler and Booker T will be involved in pre-match shows:

The new announce teams for WWE’s New Era will feature Michael Cole, Corey Graves and Byron Saxton Monday nights on Raw, while Mauro Ranallo, JBL and David Otunga handle the commentary for SmackDown Live every Tuesday night.

Also receiving a makeover will be the announce teams for WWE Superstars and WWE Main Event. Both shows will be led by Tom Phillips, and he will be joined each and every week by Graves on WWE Superstars and Otunga on WWE Main Event.

UPDATE: In addition to the commentary booth updates on Raw, SmackDown Live and more, WWE Hall of Famers Booker T and Jerry “The King” Lawler will bring their decades of experience in sports-entertainment to recurring Pre-Shows and Kickoffs as key analysts, among other names still to be announced.

Graves, who’s been working as a NXT commentator, is the big call-up, while John Bradshaw Layfield moves from Raw to Lawler’s old spot on SmackDown. It’s understandable that WWE’s looking to change things up, especially with some arguing that Lawler is past his prime, and the era switch is probably a good time to do it, but there will definitely be plenty who miss Lawler’s famed brand of in-match commentary. We’ll see how the new announcing teams are received by wrestling fans.
