With the Olympics upcoming, NBC Sports is re-branding its live-streaming app. The app, known as NBC Sports Live Extra since 2012, will now be called the NBC Sports app, the network announced.

In addition, NBC will re-brand its premium cycling app from NBC Sports Tour de France Live to NBC Sports Gold. The app provides live streaming and more for the Tour de France, which begins July 2, as well as other cycling events.

The sports app will stream more than 10,000 events in 2016, including 4,500 hours of the Rio Olympics, according to a release.

This change comes as NBC attempts to get its ducks in a row in advance of the Olympics, which open August 5. The network also announced six reporters who will make their Olympic debuts in Rio, completing their roster of reporters. The newbies are Anne Thompson, Craig Melvin, Gadi Schwartz, Jill Martin, Rutledge Wood and Dalen Cuff. In addition, Alex Flanagan will be back for her fifth Olympics.
