Even as Hurricane Matthew rapidly approaches Florida, there’s been no word on whether Saturday’s game between LSU and Florida in Gainesville will take place as scheduled.

This is a pretty obvious move for SEC Nation. Though Gainesville likely won’t be hit as hard as Florida’s eastern coast, and even though the storm is supposed to his in earnest on Friday, come Saturday the city will be recovering from the residual effects of some really severe weather.
Per weather.com, Gainesville is expecting “tropical storm conditions” Friday, including 3-5 inches of rain. Saturday will feature a 10 percent chance of rain and winds reaching 17 miles per hour. There’s no reason for SEC Nation to put itself through that.
SEC Nation’s relocation regrettably denies us a return of Tim Tebow to Gainesville, which would’ve been fun. Alas.
Stay safe, Floridians.
