During Monday night’s Dodgers-Padres Opening Day clash from Petco Park, legendary Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully explained what the word “GOAT” meant, which is fitting considering that many consider Scully the “GOAT” (that’s “greatest of all-time”, for those of you just as clueless as Vin was).

Padres outfielder Jon Jay met Michael Jordan (you know, the crying meme guy) in a shoe store, and was thrilled about it. Jay called Jordan the GOAT, and needed to explain what that meant to Scully.

So, that’s how Vin Scully talked about what the acronym GOAT stood for on Opening Day. This only could have been more surreal if Scully talked about Crying Jordan, but beggars can’t be choosers.
