NASHVILLE, TN – JANUARY 31: John Scott #28 of the Arizona Coyotes poses with NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman after the Pacific Division All-Stars defeat the Atlantic Division All-Stars in the 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Final Game between the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference at Bridgestone Arena on January 31, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee. It’s John Scott’s world and we’re all just living in it.  After the iconic everyman was voted into the 2016 NHL All-Star Game and named captain, it would have been a great story if it had ended with his stepping on the ice, getting a standing ovation, and having that be the fairy-tale conclusion.

But Scott didn’t settle for that.  The enforcer with just 5 career goals notched 2 in the All-Star Game, his Pacific Division team won the tournament, AND he was named All-Star MVP by the fans.  Scott’s reaction was priceless.

Oh, and also, he did this to Jeremy Roenick:

Scott should have won MVP just for that moment alone.  These days it seems like every All-Star Game is losing momentum and interest in the public, but Scott’s weekend will definitely go down as one of the highlights of the 2016 calendar and maybe in any All-Star Game ever.
