Yesterday, we told you about the accommodations at the Olympic media village in Rio de Janeiro. As usual, reporters were on top of the sorely lacking conditions in some of the rooms. Well, there’s something else that reporters are paying attention to in Rio. That’s condoms. That’s right, condoms

At the Olympic media center, there are condom dispensing machines in the men’s bathrooms. How do we know? Twitter, of course. Yahoo’s Greg Wyshynski provided this picture to the world:

Now, we know that the athletes have been provided on average 42 condoms each or a total of 450,000 for the 10,500 who are participating in the Games. We hear about condoms for the athletes for each Olympics, but condoms for the media? We think this is a first.

Not that we encourage it, but apparently the International Olympic Committee feels that besides dodging mosquitoes and avoiding the water, reporters may find love in the air in Rio and they might feel the need to shack up. Who knows?
