Colin Kaepernick is great, cops are pigs, cops are pigs,
Wait, somebody just took my stuff! I need to call the cops.
Oh no I just said cops are pigs! Who’s going to help me get my stuff?
Why did I listen to Colin Kaepernick? He’s not even any good.
Oh I just got my stuff back, cops are pigs again, cops are pigs,
Colin Kaepernick is a good backup…
Though it’s tough to tell from a 30-second clip, it seems like South Park is taking somewhat of an anti-Kaep stance, mocking people who say things like “cops are pigs.” Them again, the show’s writers are probably sharp enough to appreciate that someone can criticize the police and still believe in their usefulness in situations like getting your stolen stuff back.
Two seasons ago, South Park premiered with a memorable episode spoofing the Washington Redskins naming controversy. We’ll see how this foray into the intersection of sports and social issues compares.
