The NBA and its partner Turner Sports have announced they will launch two new live weekly programs for Twitter. They will both premiere this week with this being the start of the 2016-17 season. The Starters Twitter Show featuring the NBA TV show cast began today at 11 a.m. ET and The Warmup.

Both shows will originate from the Turner Sports studios in Atlanta and will be streamed through The Starters Twitter account, The Warmup Twitter account, the NBA’s account and Twitter Moments.

The Starters Twitter Show has the cast of the popular NBA. TV show and podcast, J.E. Skeets, Tas Melas, Trey Kerby, Leigh Ellis, Matt Osten, and Jason Doyle. Adding to their nightly shows, the Starters Twitter show will be streamed live every Tuesday at 11 a.m. ET throughout the regular season. Fans familiar with the Starters’ take on the NBA will like this new show.

The Warmup will be live every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET and will lead into TNT’s weekly doubleheader. The show will be co-hosted by Ben Lyons and Ro Parrish. They’ll tackle the NBA’s influence on lifestayle, music and pop culture. The show will be interactive as they’ll integrate tweets and converse with those who tweet at the hosts.

So Twitter continues to be proactive in obtaining sports programming whether it’s live NFL games, college sports, or various live studio shows. This likely won’t lead to live NBA games, but with shoulder programming, Twitter is now associated with with several major sports.
