If you’re a fan of Lil Wayne, then this story is for you. The recording artist has performed the new theme of Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, the new FS1 show that will feature plenty of debate. The theme is titled “No Mercy”. The show featuring co-debaters Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe as well as moderator Joy Taylor premieres on Tuesday, September 6 at 9:30 a.m. ET.

Lil Wayne is a huge sports fan and has been spotted at various NBA regular season and playoff games. He’s also appeared with Bayless on ESPN2’s First Take. So being tapped to record the theme song for the new show is not a stretch. According to Billboard, Bayless and Fox Sports approached Lil Wayne seeking an edgy song.

If you know the style of Lil Wayne, then the theme should not be a surprise. For those who aren’t fans, then here’s your opportunity to listen to the new theme before it appears on the show.

For a preview of the theme tune for the new Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, go no further than clicking below:

Billboard has the obligatory gushing quote from Bayless on how this theme came together:

“Lil Wayne has been a friend and frequent guest on my show and I’ve told him how honored I am to have such a legend create such a great song for our new show Undisputed on FS1,” Bayless tells Billboard. The love is mutual for Wayne, who says in a behind-the-scenes clip, “I like the fact that he’s super intelligent … He probably came up with the term “debate” and he can debate his ass off.”

Yes, the full track of the song will be released on iTunes and Lil Wayne will appear on the show’s premiere on Tuesday.

FS1 has released a brief video from the writer/producer of “No Mercy” and we even hear from Lil Wayne himself singing the praises of Skippy (“he’s super intelligent,” “He probably came up with the word ‘debate.”). It’s best not to be eating or drinking a beverage when you hear Lil Wayne otherwise you may spit out the contents on your screen.

FS1 now has a theme, a cast and a host. All that it needs to do is to launch the show which it will do on Tuesday.
