It’s always interesting to see how announcers from different parts of the world call certain events, such as Iceland’s Gudmundur Benediktsson, or England’s Ian Darke and Steve McManaman, or Canada’s Harnarayan Singh and his Punjabi calls. The latest fun one is from Tuesday, and has these Korean broadcasters calling Hyun-Soo Kim’s second home run of the season for the Baltimore Orioles against the San Diego Padres:

Even without understanding the language, the emotion translates. Kim’s home run was one of three the Orioles hit en route to an 11-7 win. Camden Chat’s Mark Brown writes that plenty of Orioles games are broadcast in Korea like this, with local announcers commenting on the MASN feed. Kim hit 28 homers in Korea last year, so there may be more dingers, and more crazy calls, to follow.
