Kobe Bryant

Ever since Kobe Bryant retired there’s been speculation that he might consider a next career in television like so many athletes before him.  A popular rumored scenario would be that Kobe would join former teammate Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson on the Inside the NBA set.

Alas, that doesn’t look to be the case right now, at least according to Kobe Bryant.

On Thursday a TMZ paparazzo stalked Bryant as he exited a building and asked about the Inside the NBA rumors.  When asked if he was interested, Kobe plainly said “no.”

Well there you have it… unless Kobe is just messing with everyone – which could entirely be plausible.  Or maybe he’s just going to be too busy with his editorial duties at The Players Tribune.

At least we know we’ll be seeing Kobe somewhere on our televisions this summer – he’s starring in an ad for Fox Sports’ coverage of Copa America.

Kobe Bryant soccer analyst?  Given his fluent pronunciations in the video above, I could dig that.
