This Colin Kaepernick story is apparently still a big deal.

Kaepernick played pretty well in the final preseason game of the 2016 season on Thursday night, completing 11 of 18 passes for 103 yards.  Before the game, he again chose not to stand for the national anthem, kneeling on the sidelines.  This happened as the home team, the San Diego Chargers, were honoring the armed forces with a salute to the military night.

After the game, Kaepernick held a press conference.  And that scene provided this lighter moment when he was seemingly bombarded by everyone in the room about his protest.  Check Kaepernick’s facial expression as well.

Was that laughter?  People can laugh in the midst of a mega-sized sports and politics story?  Who knew?

Later on, Kaepernick said he’d be donating $1 million in salary to organizations that will be helping communities.

Given the interest and the rabid reaction of the press in that news conference, this is clearly one story that’s not going anywhere.
