Twitter is both a blessing and a curse. It’s an amazing platform to have opinions heard and for people to interact with one another. It also is a dark hole of negativity — either people constantly complaining or constantly (and brutally) harassing others.
Naturally, leave it up to Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon to come up with a perfect suggestion to improve the social media platform.
His suggestion? Create a positive and a negative Twitter. Everyone gets to choose which one they are on and can not cross over, with Twitter policing the two sides of the platform.

Let’s face it, this world would be a better place if people were not always so negative and abusive on Twitter. After all, the words “Twitter War” doesn’t exist as a joke. There are people who literally take anything said on the platform to heart and often times won’t stop until they have “won” regardless of the words used to “win.”
So, as Maddon suggested… regardless of the outcome of this World Series, perhaps we can do something about Twitter following it.
Or, at least we can have a civil conversation or two as a society — a novel concept in this hyper self-inflated world we live in.
As for the suggestion, it is doubtful Twitter can split in two, but we certainly can begin to change a completely negative society in to one that at least has some basic respect for each other as human beings and take that into consideration before hitting send on our cute Twitter messages.
