During a normal regular season matchup between the Houston Astros and Oakland Athletics, something definitely abnormal happened on the Astros telecast.
In-game reporter Julia Morales of Root Sports filed a piece during the bottom of the 8th inning. The response from the Astros broadcast booth and play by play announcer Alan Ashby was to comment on how enchanted he was with Morales’ blue eyes.

“Thanks Julia. By the way, did you guys notice how blue Julia’s eyes looked right there? Come on Julia, flash them again.”
Ooooooooookkkkkkkk…. that was just a tiny bit uncomfortable to watch. I have a hard time imagining Joe Buck becoming so fixated with the color of Ken Rosenthal or Tom Verducci’s eyes that it brings the entire telecast to a halt but maybe that’s just speculation on my part.
