cavs warriors morning journal

Stop us if you’ve heard this before: The Cavaliers overcame what looked like an insurmountable lead to beat the Warriors with all of America watching.

We’re talking about Cleveland’s 109-108 Christmas-Day victory over Golden State, in which LeBron and company trailed in the fourth quarter before coming back to win in the final seconds, but we could just as easily be talking about last spring’s NBA Finals, when the Warriors, as you may have heard, blew a 3-1 lead.

The Morning Journal, small paper in Lorain, Ohio, drew the connection in a searing Warriors-trolling headline.

Meanwhile, The Morning Journal is not apologizing any time soon.

Shout-out to The Morning Journal for a bold and hilarious headline. Of course, they probably assumed their only audience would be a few people in Lorain, who would have gotten a good chuckle and moved on. Instead, thanks to the immense power of social media, the paper’s Twitter mentions are surely filled with irate Bay-Area natives.

But frankly, the Warriors deserve this flak. You know why? Because they blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals. Never forget.
