One of the most common questions we get on social media is “when will WatchESPN be available on DirecTV?” Thankfully, we finally have a concrete answer – right now.

On Thursday, ESPN announced that DirecTV customers would now have access to WatchESPN, a couple of months after the plans were initially announced. And in case you’re skeptical, here’s a screenshot of DirecTV being listed on the WatchESPN login screen.

This is a pretty big deal, and comes on the heels of DirecTV customers gaining access to Fox Sports Go.

I believe every major provider is now covered through WatchESPN, while Fox Sports Go’s remaining major holdouts are Dish, Google Fiber, and Verizon. Right now is a pretty good time for sports streaming services.

I think our most popular question from here on out will be “when is Comcast getting Fox Sports 2?”
