Remember when Fox first got the NFL, outbidding CBS for the NFC package of games in 1993? (Perhaps you’re too young to remember or it was before your time. Some of us are old.) At the time, there were all kinds of snarky comments directed at Fox, known mostly for The Simpsons. What, is Homer Simpson going to call the game? HAR.

Welcome to 2015. The Simpsons are completely woven into the fabric of pop culture, as a generation has grown up with that show. The NFL has been on Fox for as long as most of us can remember. (CBS getting the NFL back in 1998 makes losing it to Fox less of a novelty now.) And Major League Baseball has been on the network for nearly 20 years, 14 of those with exclusive rights to the World Series.

Now, Fox has its first-ever World Series promo featuring The Simpsons. Check it out:

Go Isotopes!

Obviously, you can see the 30-second clip with Bart, Milhouse, Chief Wiggum, Rev. Lovejoy, Ned Flanders, Homer, Marge, Ralph and so many others above. (We have probably targeted ourselves for extermination by not mentioning Kang and Kodos in that sentence. By the way, which is the AL fan and which is the NL supporter? This could be important for rooting interests during the Fall Classic.) But the Simpsons/World Series promo will run on all Fox networks, including FS1, FS2, FXX and regional Fox affiliates beginning Wednesday, Oct. 21.

The 2015 World Series begins on Fox Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
