We’re officially in the midst of Awards Season (I think? Maybe?) and Awful Announcing is no exception. For the third year running, we’ve placed the prestigious honor of bestowing our mythical sports media awards in your hands. The People’s Sports Media Awards to be Named and Trademarked Later are back once again! (What, you think in three years we would have actually sat down and come up with a real name? One of these years we’ll at least get a certificate of appreciation for the winners or something…)
Over the rest of this week, we’ll be taking your nominations for our various awards categories that highlight the best in sports media. This year we’ve added a couple new categories to expand into the digital realm with Best Podcast and Best in Social Media. Keep in mind that the voting is based on the work done in the last year (April-April) and that winners will be decided based on a 50-50 split between our readers and expert/staff panel.
You can take a look at past winners at the links below. Leave us your nominees in the comments below or send us a message on Twitter/Facebook. Happy nominating!
