Ronda Rousey has a fight coming up next month, so I guess it’s time again for mainstream outlets to jump back on her bandwagon. This Wednesday, Rousey will co-host the 6 PM SportsCenter alongside Lindsay Czarniak, becoming the first female athlete to serve in the guest anchor role.

Rousey will also be running through the ESPN car wash, including an appearance on First Take that I’m sure won’t result in Stephen A. Smith threatening her like he did Kevin Durant on Monday.

“I’m excited to co-host SportsCenter with Lindsay on Wednesday,” said Rousey.  “I’ve always appreciated the support ESPN has shown me and I’m honored to be the first female celebrity co-host!”

It will be a week of iconic TV show appearances for Rousey with her SportsCenter spot coming on the heels of Tuesday night’s scheduled appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. In addition to the 6 p.m. SportsCenter, Rousey’s Bristol, Conn. visit will include appearances on Mike & Mike, First Take and the midnight SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt.

Rousey will defend her UFC Bantamweight Title at UFC 193 next month in Melbourne, Australia against the current victim of the quarter, former boxing champion Holly Holm.

Her fights have become an event, and unlike Floyd Mayweather’s fights, they end up delivering in terms of action. If Rousey ever ends up getting tested by an opponent, it’ll be interesting to see what that does to her starpower – will it continue to grow like it has been over the last year or so, or will it suffer with her air of invincibility gone?
